If you are looking for a new route beyond the classic tours in the Cappadocia region and want to explore Cappadocia through the valleys, this tour is perfect for you.
Start time:15.00
End time:21.00
After picking you up from your hotels with our vehicle, we head towards Çavuşin, the starting point of our tour.
The church has a single nave, a barrel vault, and three apses, while its narthex has been destroyed. The Çavuşin Church, built in the name of Emperor Nicephorus Phocas, is dated to 964–965.
The themes depicted in the church, as in other rock-cut churches, are taken from the Bible and the life of Jesus Christ.
The rocks in the valley are mostly composed of volcanic tuff and andesite. Over time, wind and water erosion have created fairy chimneys, caves, and natural rock formations throughout the valley. The red, orange, and pink hues in particular create a stunning visual spectacle at sunset.
Valley hikes typically last 2–4 hours and offer trails of both easy and moderate difficulty levels. The sunset route is the most popular part of Red Valley and is especially favored by photography enthusiasts
After a 2-hour hike, we reach the top of Red Valley, where we enjoy a breathtaking sunset accompanied by a wine and cheese platter.
We take a coffee break in front of Ortahisar Castle, one of Cappadocia’s most important landmarks, accompanied by the spectacular night illumination.
We visit the “Three Beauties” fairy chimneys, which have become a symbol of Ürgüp.
Later, we reach the end of our tour and drop you off at your hotels.
